To Spank or Not to Spank....that is the question???

Many parents turn to spanking when they discipline their children. There is a huge debate as to whether or not this form of punishment is the right thing to do. There are a lot of people who feel like it is a violent form of punishment rather than an effective one. The thing that you should think about is that this question is best answered individually by different parents. What works well for one parent may not work the same for another parent. Take the time to carefully consider your options when you are determining if spanking is the right thing for you to do when your child misbehaves.
Each parent has the right, for now, to spank their child - within reason- when they misbehave. There are a few things that parents should remember when they decide to spank their child. First of all, you should never spank your child when you are angry. You may not realize the force behind the spanking if you do it when you are upset or angry. This can actually lead to hurting or injuring your child. You should always remember that there are different techniques that you can use other than spanking. Time out and taking away things that are important to your child are also very effective for some children.
